Leah & Jonah’s Wedding at Fieldstone Barn in Elora
Leah and Jonah’s wedding at Fieldstone Barn had a little bit of everything: a relaxed morning with friends, a first look under a willow tree, llamas making an appearance, a beautiful forest ceremony, and a reception that kept everyone on their feet.
The day felt like a proper celebration from start to finish. There was no shortage of laughs, some genuinely emotional moments, and plenty of time for everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Fieldstone Barn. It’s a lovely spot for a barn wedding in Elora, with gardens, open fields, a wooded ceremony space, and a character-filled stone barn for the evening celebrations.
Here’s a look at Leah and Jonah’s day.
Getting Ready at Fieldstone Barn
The morning started with the ladies in the bridal suite, mimosas in hand, as Leah got ready with her bridesmaids and family. Meanwhile, the guys took a more laid-back approach in the rec room, playing pool and checking out their Magic: The Gathering cards. Both groups had their own way of passing the time before the big moment.
Before heading into the rest of the day, Leah shared a first look with her dad outside the big barn door. It was a lovely moment to capture, and a reminder that wedding days are just as much about family as they are about the couple.
A First Look Beneath the Willow Tree
Leah and Jonah’s first look took place in a grassy field, with a willow tree in the background. It was a beautiful, quiet spot for the two of them to see each other before the ceremony, and their reactions made the moment all the more worthwhile.
We then wandered around the grounds for portraits, making use of the gardens, flowers, and wooden framing scattered throughout the property. We also spent some time on the vintage couch outside the stone barn, which made for a few relaxed portraits with a distinctly rustic feel.
The wedding party brought a completely different energy. Between the couch photos and the gardens, there was plenty of joking around and the kind of friendly chaos that makes these pictures so much fun.
And, of course, we couldn’t leave without visiting the llamas. Leah and Jonah spent some time watching and feeding them, which made for a fun change of pace and a few photos that won’t look quite like anyone else’s wedding album.
A Forest Ceremony at Fieldstone Barn
Fieldstone Barn’s wooded ceremony space was a beautiful setting for Leah and Jonah to exchange their vows. Surrounded by trees, with their friends and family gathered nearby, the ceremony had a lovely, intimate feel.
Afterwards, everyone headed outside for cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed drinks, games, and plenty of conversation while catching up with one another. It’s always a great part of the day to photograph candidly, with so much happening naturally and no need to interrupt the fun.

Reception in the Stone Barn
The reception got off to a flying start, with Leah and Jonah making a high-energy entrance before going straight into their first dance. It set the tone for the evening pretty quickly.
The speeches brought a mix of laughter and emotional moments, followed by the father-daughter and mother-son dances. These quieter parts of the evening offered a lovely contrast to the excitement around them.
Later, we slipped away for a few golden hour portraits. The softer evening light was a great excuse to take a short break from the reception and give Leah and Jonah a little time together before the party continued.
Dancing, Firelight and a Packed Dance Floor
The rest of the evening was exactly what you want from a wedding reception. Guests were spread throughout the venue, hanging out inside the barn, chatting outside by the fire, and filling the dance floor.
There was always something happening somewhere, which is one of my favourite things about photographing a wedding in a venue like Fieldstone Barn. You can capture the big moments, but some of the best photographs come from the little things happening around them: friends laughing together, family catching up, and everyone making the most of the night.
Leah and Jonah’s wedding was a wonderful mix of beautiful scenery, personal moments, and a whole lot of fun. Thanks to both of them and their families for having me along to document it all.
