Kate and Kyle’s engagement session brought us to one of Burlington’s most unique locations for photos — Kerncliff Park. With their wedding at The Hummingbird in Erin coming up in just a few months, this was the perfect opportunity to slow down, explore, and capture this season of life together.
Kerncliff Park is one of my favourite spots for all sorts of shoots because it has so much variety in a relativeely small setting, so you’re not walking around too much between moments.
We began the session in the wooded trails around Kerncliff Park, where the evening light filtered beautifully through the trees.
After the woods, we wandered through the old quarry boardwalk area, which gave us a mix of rugged stone textures, peaceful greenery, and some incredible elevated drone views of the landscape.
As the sun began to set, we made a quick drive over to nearby City View Park. The open fields, soft golden light, and sweeping views overlooking Burlington, Hamilton, and Lake Ontario made for the perfect ending to the evening. The conditions could not have been better, and Kate and Kyle were completely natural together in front of the camera.
A lovely couple in a beautiful setting with some gorgeous light; I’m looking forward to having all those elements with fancier clothes on their wedding day at The Hummingbird very soon.
