Sherman Falls Engagement Session with Zeryl & Colin | Hamilton Wedding Photographer

Sherman Falls Engagement Session | Zeryl & Colin
There’s something about Hamilton’s waterfalls that feels straight out of a fairytale—and Sherman Falls in Ancaster never disappoints. I had the pleasure of photographing Zeryl and Colin’s engagement session here, and it was a perfect match of location and couple.
These two were an absolute joy to photograph: fun, adventurous, and totally game for anything. They had flown in all the way from British Columbia—where they currently live—to do their engagement session back home in Hamilton. And they didn’t hesitate when I asked if they’d be up for a bit of a climb to get those dramatic shots right up by the falls. That kind of energy makes my job easy and the results so worth it!
Why Choose Sherman Falls for Engagement Photos?
Sherman Falls is one of my favorite hidden gems for engagement sessions in Hamilton. Nestled in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area, this 17-metre-high waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, rocky trails, and natural ledges that make for incredible photo backdrops. Whether you’re going for romantic, adventurous, or whimsical vibes, it delivers every time.
For couples looking for the best engagement photo locations in Hamilton, Sherman Falls is a must. And the great part? It’s just one of over 100 waterfalls in the Hamilton area. Seriously—this city is a goldmine for natural beauty.
Some other popular photo spots in the region include:
- Webster’s Falls and Tew Falls in nearby Dundas
- Albion Falls for dramatic cliffside views
- Bayfront Park for waterfront sunsets
- RBG Gardens and Princess Point for floral and forest vibes
- Dundas Peak for sweeping scenic overlooks (best in fall!)
Whether you’re a local couple or flying in like Zeryl and Colin, Hamilton has no shortage of stunning engagement photo locations—and I’m always happy to help you choose the perfect spot for your session.

Looking Ahead to Their Wedding at David’s Restaurant in Port Dover
I’m so excited to be photographing Zeryl and Colin’s wedding later this year at David’s Restaurant in Port Dover. It’s a beautiful lakeside venue that’s going to be the perfect backdrop for their elegant and heartfelt celebration. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding is going to be full of love, laughter, and just the right amount of adventure.
